Hall of Fame

The Richmond Fair Hall of Fame is a new initiative launched as part of the Fair’s 170th celebration. It has been created to recognize and honour the individuals whose dedication, volunteer service, participation, and community spirit have helped shape and strengthen the Richmond Fair over the years.

Each year, the Hall of Fame will celebrate between 1 and 3 inductees who have made a meaningful and lasting contribution to the Fair. For the inaugural year in 2026, up to 3 individuals will be selected to help launch this new tradition.

Eligible nominees may include volunteers, exhibitors, and community members who have supported the Fair in a significant way. Active members of the Richmond Fair Association Board are not eligible for nomination. Posthumous nominations are permitted.

To nominate someone, a completed nomination form must be submitted along with two letters of support from individuals, organizations, or groups familiar with the nominee’s contributions. These letters must clearly describe the impact and nature of the nominee’s involvement.

All submissions must be received by July 31, 2026. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. The Fair Committee will review all nominations following the deadline and make selections based on a structured scoring system that evaluates volunteer service, exhibitor involvement, community impact, legacy, and other relevant contributions.

Selected inductees will be contacted prior to the Fair to confirm attendance at the induction ceremony, while maintaining confidentiality until the official unveiling. The Hall of Fame ceremony will take place during the annual Fair celebrations.

Each inductee will receive a lifetime pass to the Richmond Fair, a commemorative plaque installed in the Hall of Fame display, and a personal keepsake plaque to take home.
